Sweet, loving Emmy was born in our shelter last August. She was adopted as a puppy but then returned this month due to resource guarding. This behavior is certainly manageable but we recommend a home with teenagers or adults only. If you have another canine at home, we recommend feeding them in separate rooms and always monitoring playtime. If you’d like to bring your dog in to meet Emmy, our shelter staff would be more than happy to assist you with a dog introduction. Emmy takes treats very nicely from our hands and appears to know a couple of commands. She is a fun-loving, high-energy dog who will need daily exercise and mental stimulation so an active home is a must! Emmy would make a wonderful walking/jogging/hiking buddy and she’s eager to find her forever home today!
There are plenty of great pets available for adoption right now at the Idaho Humane Society.
